DLR-style pilot screening practice

The DLR screening used by Lufthansa Group and several European cadet programmes is the hardest first filter in civil aviation — days of concentration, multitasking, memory, spatial and math modules at relentless pace. Persona Prep is independent and not affiliated with DLR or any airline; we train the same PERFORMANCE substrate — divided attention, monitoring, spatial orientation, applied numeracy — with our own generated modules.

Free to start. Every item is generated fresh, marked with a full worked solution, and ranked on a 1–9 stanine band that recalibrates as more candidates practise.

What it measures

What DLR-style Pilot Screening is actually testing

DLR-style screenings read raw trainable capacity: sustained concentration over hours, multitasking without collapse, short-term memory under interference, spatial orientation from instrument readings, and fast mental arithmetic. None of it is knowledge — all of it responds to training, which is why the candidates who pass overwhelmingly describe weeks of daily practice on the module families beforehand.

The format

How the real assessment runs

Selection days
Candidates report one to two days of back-to-back computer modules (the group's first stage), with the pass decision resting almost entirely on module performance.
Concentration and memory
Long vigilance and working-memory blocks where the score decays the moment attention slips — endurance is the hidden variable.
Multitasking and spatial
Simultaneous tracking, arithmetic and monitoring, plus instrument-based orientation — the closest thing to the flight deck a screen can stage.
Math under pace
Mental arithmetic and applied numeracy at a rhythm that punishes finger-counting; automaticity is what passes.

Where marks are lost

The trap that costs the most marks

Training the parts separately and never the endurance. Most candidates drill each module family in comfortable ten-minute sessions, then meet a selection day that runs them for hours — and the score that collapses is not any single skill but the concentration curve across the day. Build sessions that chain modules back to back; the stamina is the skill.

Why practise here

What this practice gives you

01

The five flight-deck style module families as live interfaces, chainable back to back for endurance work

With Persona Prep Pro

Everything you need to walk in ready

One subscription covers the whole assessment library, not just this exercise — because almost nobody is invited to sit only one module.

The full aptitude library

SHL Verify, Aon cut-e, Hogan and Saville formats — numerical, verbal, inductive, deductive, mechanical, checking and the interactive modules.

A rank, not just a score

Every run is placed on a 1–9 stanine band that recalibrates as the candidate pool grows, so you know your position.

A course per exercise

What it measures, the trap that costs marks, and worked items from every format — then the exercise itself.

Unlimited fresh items

Everything is generated, so you never run out and never memorise a bank.

Written + voice AI coach

Reads your results across exercises and tells you which two to fix first.
