Vueling pilot assessment practice

Candidates in Vueling pilot selection widely report a cut-e style online battery early in the process — the same interactive formats as the other European carriers, with the same rule: interface familiarity is scored like ability.

Free to start. Every item is generated fresh, marked with a full worked solution, and ranked on a 1–9 stanine band that recalibrates as more candidates practise.

Airline by airline

Who uses what — candidate reports, airline by airline

The mappings below reflect what candidates publicly report, pathway by pathway. They change between campaigns: your invitation email is the only authoritative list.

easyJet

cut-e (Aon) style

Online battery frequently reported for cadet and rated pathways: divided attention, numerical, personality questionnaire.

Ryanair

cut-e (Aon) style

Online aptitude screening reported via approved training partners, followed by interview and a simulator assessment.

Wizz Air

cut-e (Aon) style

Online tests reported for cadet programmes and direct entry: multitasking, numerical, spatial.

Vueling

cut-e (Aon) style

cut-e style online battery reported at pre-selection, before the in-person stages.

British Airways

cut-e (Aon) style

Online aptitude tests reported for the Speedbird Pilot Academy and pilot recruitment.

Aer Lingus

cut-e (Aon) style

Online tests reported for cadet programmes — attention and numerical formats.

Lufthansa Group (Lufthansa, SWISS, Austrian)

DLR selection

Cadet selection through the DLR process — its own battery. Divided-attention, mental-arithmetic and spatial training transfers directly.

Air France

in-house process

Selection through the airline's own psychotechnic tests. The exercise families — attention, multitasking, numeracy — train with the same reflexes.

Gulf carriers (Emirates, Qatar Airways…)

online batteries

Online aptitude assessments reported depending on the pathway, including COMPASS-style screening on some cadet routes.

Candidate reports, not an official list. Persona Prep is not affiliated with any airline or test publisher; we train the exercise families, not leaked papers.

What it measures

What Vueling Pilot Assessment is actually testing

The battery screens the substrate every carrier screens: sustained attention while instruments drift, several tasks on one clock, orientation when the reference frame is not yours, and disciplined numeracy under time. All of it trains — and only interactively, because the modules are interfaces, not question papers.

The format

How the real assessment runs

Online battery first
Candidates report the aptitude battery arriving early, unsupervised, with a completion window. A weak module drags the profile before anyone has met you.
Interactive modules
Monitoring, multitasking, reaction and spatial formats served as live interfaces at a fixed pace — there is no question paper to read ahead.
Numerical and deductive
Table-reading and constraint-grid modules round out the battery; both are computed formats where every wrong option is a specific misreading.
Later stages
Assessment day, sim evaluation and interview follow only if the battery clears — which is why the battery is the stage worth training.

Where marks are lost

The trap that costs the most marks

Treating the unsupervised sitting casually. The battery usually comes with a verification principle: a score you cannot reproduce under supervision is worse than a modest honest one. The second trap is interface-blindness — spending the scored first minutes of a monitoring module learning its controls. Both are solved the same way: run the real interfaces until they are boring.

Why practise here

What this practice gives you

01

The five flight-deck style modules as live interfaces — monitoring, multitasking, reaction, spatial orientation, flight challenge

02

Numerical and deductive-grid modules in the same cut-e style formats

03

A stanine rank per module, so the weak module is visible before the airline sees it

04

Unlimited fresh runs — nothing to memorise, everything to automate

With Persona Prep Pro

Everything you need to walk in ready

One subscription covers the whole assessment library, not just this exercise — because almost nobody is invited to sit only one module.

The full aptitude library

SHL Verify, Aon cut-e, Hogan and Saville formats — numerical, verbal, inductive, deductive, mechanical, checking and the interactive modules.

A rank, not just a score

Every run is placed on a 1–9 stanine band that recalibrates as the candidate pool grows, so you know your position.

A course per exercise

What it measures, the trap that costs marks, and worked items from every format — then the exercise itself.

Unlimited fresh items

Everything is generated, so you never run out and never memorise a bank.

Written + voice AI coach

Reads your results across exercises and tells you which two to fix first.

Personality practice too

SHL OPQ32, Hogan HPI/HDS/MVPI, Saville Wave, ADEPT-15 and 16PF, with full profile reports.

Vueling Pilot Assessmentfrequently asked questions

What tests does Vueling use in pilot selection?

Candidates widely report a cut-e style online aptitude battery early in Vueling's selection — interactive modules such as monitoring, multitasking and spatial orientation plus numerical and deductive formats — followed by assessment-day stages. Processes change by programme and year; your invitation email is always the definitive list.

Can you prepare for the Vueling pilot assessment?

Yes — the formats train even when the exact items cannot be known. Interface familiarity is worth real marks on fixed-pace modules: the scored first minutes go to whoever already knows the controls, which is exactly what practice buys.

Is Persona Prep affiliated with Vueling or Aon?

No. Persona Prep is an independent practice platform with no connection to Vueling, Aon or any airline or test publisher. The formats here are rebuilt from scratch — nobody's actual test items are reproduced.

What is a good score on an airline aptitude battery?

Airlines read results as percentiles against their own comparison groups and never publish thresholds, so no universal pass mark exists. What is knowable is your own profile: a 1–9 stanine rank per module shows which format would drag the battery down, so you can fix it before selection day.
