cut-e Sample Questions — Playable, With Solutions

Aon's cut-e tests are unlike every other publisher's: very short modules(often 5–12 minutes each), adaptive difficulty, and interfaces you manipulate rather than multiple-choice sheets. That design punishes one thing above all — seeing the interface for the first time on the day. Both samples below are playable right here.

Why cut-e feels different

A classic SHL test gives you 25–35 minutes of one question type. cut-e chains several tiny modules — scales numerical, scales verbal, deductive grids, memory and attention tasks — each with its own interface and its own clock. The first 60 seconds of every module go to understanding the mechanics, and on a 6-minute module those 60 seconds are a sixth of your score. Candidates who have already handled each interface spend that time answering instead.

The deductive grid — play it

The grid puzzle behind gridChallenge-style assessments: fill the missing cell so every row and column keeps its rule. Difficulty climbs fast.

Each symbol appears exactly once per row and column. Find what belongs in the “?” cell.

How to prepare effectively

Familiarity per interface, then speed. Work each module type untimed until the mechanics are invisible, then run timed adaptive sessions — the real engine climbs while you answer, so flat practice under-prepares. cut-e batteries are commonly reported in airline, logistics and graduate pipelines; if your invitation names Aon or cut-e, every module in it is a format you can have already met.

Persona Prep generates cut-e style practice — applied numeracy, deductive grids, monitoring, multitasking, reaction and spatial modules — with worked solutions, adaptive timed runs, and a stanine rank (1–9) per module. Two exercises are free, no card required.
